A Healthy Summer Meal : Chicken with a twist

Hey everyone,
So summer is here now and most people want to be in shape and looking healthy for the summer. You don't have to go on a strict diet to accomplish your goal. So today, I made a filling lunch which is so easy to make without any fuss or any 'fancy' expensive food items.
here we go:

Chicken with a twist
Chicken sandwich served with tomato, corn & a mild sauce

  • I started off with frying 3 small chicken strips.
  • with 4 tablespoons of oil, I let that cook and turned them over when necessary.
  • I got a corn on the cob and boiled it in hot water for 8-10 minutes
  • when the chicken was cooked I took it out of the pan and put it in some brown seeded bread (rather healthy for a bread option)
  • Which I buttered with light olive spread
  • I sliced some ice burg lettuce and put it into the sandwich.
  • You can then add any extra vegetables as you wish i added a small tomato.
  • To top it all off I took a small sauce dish and added a table spoon on Nando's mild sauce you can find this at most local super markets and it just adds more spice to your meals.
So making a healthy and tasty lunch wasn't hard after all. I would say I am quite fussy but this is so simple and easy so anyone could make it, a bonus to this meal is its very filling and the food has lots of vitamins and protein in it. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post.

I will be doing more soon so go and check out our twitter page for more updates on videos and fun stuff like that.
